Hitch rules 2025
North American Sled Operators Association and their insurance underwriters have made changes to the hook requirements being bigger for Class 6, 7, and 8 sleds. Your hitches must accommodate these hooks.
Hole to be a minimum 4” long by 3” wide.
Hitch material should not be thinner than ¾” and not thicker than 1.25”.
Drawbar must be rigid in all directions and parallel to the ground.
Hitch pull point must be horizontal, so the hook stays vertical.
Clevis’s are prohibited (No pinned, bolted or welded clevis’s)
